... has been teaching Ashtanga yoga since 2000 and has taught throughout the US and Puerto Rico. Devon has trained extensively with Beryl Bender Birch of the Hard and Soft Ashtanga Yoga Center. Before giving birth to her son in 2005, she traveled throughout the US assisting Ms. Birch with teacher training. Devon has also traveled throughout southeast Asia studying and cultivating her meditation and yoga practices. Aside from teaching yoga, she is also a massage therapist and polarity practitioner and recently began teaching natural childbirth classes.

Shannon Mayhew Ed.M.
...is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher. She trained with Tejal Murray at the Ahimsa Yoga Center in Baltimore, MD, and with JoAnn Evans at Evergreen Yoga in Bethesda, MD. She has also recently completed a certification in Pre-Natal Yoga Instruction from Hillary Blackton of Divine Life Yoga in Gaithersburg, MD. In addition to her yoga training, Shannon’s background in dance and master’s degree in education provide her with a unique ability to communicate kinesthetic principles to students of all backgrounds and ability levels. She began studying yoga when recovering from an illness, and was able to use her yoga practice to manage pain and aid healing. She became a yoga teacher to help others learn to improve their wellbeing through yoga. Shannon creates a practice that empowers students to tap into their highest potential of Self.

Sharon Neubauer
...is a Certified Anusara Yoga teacher. She came to Yoga in 1996 looking for a physical discipline to help with her work as an actress. She began teaching in 1999 after completing the Teacher Training Program with Betsey Downing at The Health Advantage Yoga Center in Herndon, VA. She has completed several Teacher and Therapy Trainings with John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga as well as a level I Anusara Yoga Teacher Training with Kathleen Hogan and Mary Romeau, She has also studied Iyengar Yoga with Mary Dunn, John Schumacher and Carolyn Bluemle. Sharon did Yoga throughout her three complete pregnancies, and she teaches with warmth, compassion, playfulness and a lively sense of humor.

Marie Reed RYT
...found yoga serendipitously two decades ago and became truly inspired by hatha yoga practice after taking several workshops with John Friend in the 1990s. Following her heart, she completed a year-long training at Willow Street's Yoga Teacher Training Program in the Anusara tradition, and now teaches beginning, intermediate and gentle yoga classes. Marie loves to help her students understand the structural "why" of hatha yoga and inspires confidence in her students as they learn to move safely, protect their joints, and grow strong. Her classes are often filled with laughter, as students play and explore their edges. Marie's heart-centered focus helps students connect with their deepest intentions, integrating body, mind, and breath with spirit. She is deeply grateful to her primary Anusara teachers Jenny Otto and Joe Miller, as well as to Heather Schwartz (Anusara), Judith Semark (Kripalu), Rod Stryker (Pure Yoga) and many fine teachers at Unity Woods (Iyengar).

Elizabeth Shahan
... found her interest in health and fitness in the late 60s when she joined the burgeoning jogging craze and continued over the decades as she taught aerobics and weight training for recreation departments and in health clubs. Older and wiser, she became aware of the science of healing qigong and qigong exercise in 2005 and immediately realized the benefits of this gentle exercise technique that not only tones and relaxes the body, but calms the mind as well. In the fall of 2006, she immersed herself in a month-long certification training at the Omega Institute with Dr. Roger Janhke. Planning to teach qigong as part of her "retirement career," she has heeded signals from the Universe and "quit her day job" to establish Elemental Energies (elementalenergies.net). She is grateful to Dee and her students at Inner Reaches for allowing her share the benefits of qigong.
