Melissa Frank, RYT
Melissa Frank
Melissa began practicing yoga in 2001 following a serious automobile accident. Yoga was recommended for easing pain and restoring movement and functionality to the injured areas. Over time, she regained the range of motion in her shoulder, back and neck and was able to move, pain-free. She continued her yoga practice, as it helped her enjoy the calm of a focused mind. She learned to connect her breath with movement, an important skill that she uses not just in her practice but in her day-to-day life.
Melissa has studied yoga with Kathleen Hogan, Shanthi Subramanian, Abby Spencer, and Dee Gold. Her teachers have taught her to adapt poses to meet her needs as she addressed various injuries and illnesses over the years. She is grateful for their skills and willingness to share their knowledge with her.
Melissa is looking forward to helping others experience the benefits of yoga as she continues to do, incorporating yoga techniques into daily life. Melissa is living proof of the healing power of yoga. She is honored to be teaching at Inner Reaches and to be able to share her yoga with the community.
